Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill promises wild guarantee for upcoming season

No wide receiver in the history of the NFL has yet to eclipse the 2,000-yard receiving mark during the regular season — emphasis on yet.

Miami Dolphins star wideout Tyreek Hill is confident he will break the 2,000-yard barrier next season, guaranteeing the feat during a recent episode of his podcast, It Needed to Be Said.

If his 2,000-yard guarantee wasn't enough to get Twitter talking, Hill topped that take by assuring that the Dolphins will win the Super Bowl.

"We getting that. Believe that," Hill proclaimed.

To no one's surprise, Hill's boisterous predictions led to a ton of fan interaction, with a large chunk of fans doubting he and the Dolphins accomplish these feats.

Despite Hill's brilliance as a receiver, some believe quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will limit Miami's Super Bowl odds.

Forget about hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, some fans don't envision the Dolphins even escaping a loaded AFC East consisting of the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and New York Jets.

While Miami is most certainly a Super Bowl dark horse after being booted in the wild card round in 2022, Hill's chances of topping 2,000 yards receiving feels far more obtainable.

This past season Hill amassed a career-high 1,710 yards receiving on 119 receptions, despite Tagovailoa missing four games. Still, the Dolphins finished the year as the NFL's fourth-best passing offense, averaging 265.4 yards per game.

If Tagovailoa can remain healthy for the entirety of the 2023 season, and taking into account the additional regular-season game the NFL added to the schedule in 2021, Hill has a legitimate opportunity to flirt with history.

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver and NFL Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson currently holds the record for most receiving yards in a season with 1,964 in 2012.
