Doug Pederson has hilarious response to question about Trevor Lawrence's dominance on Saturdays

The streak will come into play this Saturday when the Jaguars travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional playoff. 

Lawrence joked to reporters this week that he's taking a lot more pride in the streak now that the Jags are playing on Saturday again. 

While Lawrence couldn't recall the last time he lost on a Saturday, it's not part of his focus ahead of the Jags' tilt against the Chiefs. 

"I don't really think about that. I think about 'we gotta win this game,' to keep going, to keep playing, keep our season alive," Lawrence said. "That's what I think about. Trying to go 38-0, if you want to put it that way." 

Lawrence and the Jaguars overcame a 27-0 first half deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-30, in the AFC wild-card round last week. 

After being picked off four times in the opening half of his first career playoff start, Lawrence bounced back in the second half, leading the Jaguars to the divisional round. Lawrence finished 28-of-47 for 288 yards with four touchdowns, three of which came in the third and fourth quarters. 

Lawrence's performance caught the eye of his counterpart this Saturday, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. 

"That's the true test of a competitor, whenever stuff's not going your way, to still pull your team to find a way to win," Mahomes told reporters. "He's done it at every level, high school, college and now in the NFL. He's taken that team, and they've turned it around fast."
