Justin Melo of The Draft Network reports that the San Francisco 49ers met with former Appalachian State linebacker Andrew Parker as part of their pre-draft evaluations.

Parker recently disclosed to Melo, "I've met with quite a few teams. I was at the Saints' local pro day. I've also spoken with the 49ers, Chargers, Eagles, Titans, and Browns."

During his senior year in 2023, Parker made an impact with 114 tackles, including six for a loss, two sacks, and two passes defensed across 14 games, per Sports Reference.

Reflecting on his stellar 2023 campaign, Parker stated, "I would credit my study habits first and foremost. I developed terrific instincts from studying the game. I started seeing plays develop before the ball was even snapped. I identify formations and alignments. I let my instincts take over at that point."

While absent from the NFL Scouting Combine, Parker showcased his athleticism at his pro day with a 10-foot-4 broad jump and a 38.5-inch vertical.

Throughout his collegiate career, he recorded 206 tackles, including 10.5 for a loss, four sacks, three passes defensed, and a forced fumble over five seasons, transferring from Arkansas to Appalachian State after the 2021 season.

Asked about what he brings to a team, Parker emphasized, "I was a leader both on and off the field. When it comes to the testing, I displayed outstanding athleticism at pro day. You're going to get a guy that's going to dominate the process. I love getting better. I enjoy the process.

"A lot of guys say they love football. They don't. I really live this game. This game is my life. I want to play it professionally for as long as I can. Whatever team gets me is going to get a guy that's devoted to the process."
