Drake Maye has quickly jumped into a conversation that many people would have said he could not reach in most outcomes for this season. Instead, he is playing like a proven veteran who knows how to perform at a high level individually and lead the New England Patriots to wins.

In Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans, Maye led Mike Vrabel's team to a win that definitely felt great for the head coach of New England. The Titans fired Mike Vrabel earlier in his coaching career, opening the door for him to join the Patriots staff ahead of this season. During the massive victory, the Patriots quarterback made some history in multiple, intriguing ways.

According to Chad Graff, the young quarterback has placed himself in some esteemed air. He's the third QB in NFL history to have six straight games with at least 200 passing yards and a passer rating over 100 while under 24 years old. This sort of statistic proves the efficiency of the game that Maye is playing currently.

Maye is playing like an MVP candidate so far, plain and simple. This achievement only adds another reason for Patriots fans to feel incredibly confident and excited about their team's future on offense. Maye looks confident in Josh McDaniels' unit, and he is also forcing teams to worry about his mobility on a weekly basis, too.

While Maye is still in his early 20's, he isn't playing that way. Instead, he's been a breath of fresh air for fans who have not seen a talent like him in New England in recent seasons. Against the Titans, Maye also set a franchise record due to his decision manic and accuracy. He recorded a 91.3% completion percentage. Yes, you read that correctly.

While Tennessee's secondary is amongst the worst in the NFL, that is still a notable sort of goal to achieve this young in his career. Tom Brady never recorded that sort of completion percentage in one game, and he played in plenty of blowout victories against struggling defensive units.

No matter what - Maye has already etched his name into some key pieces of the league and team history as he attempts to lead the Patriots to an AFC East title and a lengthy playoff run.
