The New Orleans Saints continue to build their list of interviews for their next head coach. For every name involved, click here.
New Orleans does not have a preference one an offensive or defensive mind, seemingly. Both types of coordinators are involved in their search, and former head coaches in the NFL will, too.
A Saints legend has made his choice for the next HC in New Orleans.
Brees has his choice in mind for who should replace Dennis Allen as the team's new head coach. Darren Rizzi was the interim, but he did not get the vote from the legendary Saints quarterback.
According to Crissy Froyd, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn would be his pick for New Orleans' open head coaching position.
Spoke to Drew Brees today on the state of the Saints and their coaching search. He named Aaron Glenn as his top pick for head coach. Glenn served as the defensive backs for the Saints from 2016-2020. Whenever Dennis Allen was hired in 2022, Glenn was the runner-up. -- Crissy Froyd
Glenn is absolutely a potential candidate for the Saints. He will get an interview, along with some other notable coordinators like Kellen Moore and Anthony Weaver.
Brees also named his pick for the HC hire, if the Saints stayed within their organization. It would be offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, as Brees is a big fan of his offensive scheme and outlook going forward.
Brees also told me that if the Saints were to go in-house on the hire, his pick would be Klint Kubiak.

Notes that he absolutely loves his offense. https://t.co/JFqVOZLFTw
It remains to be seen if Kubiak will get a HC interview. Darren Rizzi, the former Special Teams coordinator for the Saints and interim after Allen was fired, is set to interview next week for the job.
