Duke Tobin On Trading Tee Higgins: 'Ridiculous,' NFL Teams 'Want A Receiver? Go Find Your Own'
USA TODAY Sports

Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin scoffed at the idea of trading wide receiver Tee Higgins on Tuesday at the NFL Combine.

Multiple outlets have floated a few trade ideas this offseason.

"No," Tobin said about trading Higgins. "No, I'm not in the business of making other teams better. I'm in the business of making the Cincinnati Bengals better, and so trading Tee Higgins is not on my mind. That's their problem. They want a receiver? Go find your own, you know. In my opinion, Tee Higgins is a good piece for the Cincinnati Bengals. So the trade stuff is a little ridiculous right now."

Higgins is eligible for a contract extension this offseason after posting 74 catches for 1,029 yards and 7 touchdowns last season. Now, the Bengals have to make "all the puzzle pieces fit" according to Tobin as they pursue a Lombardi Trophy.

Tobin also said Logan Wilson is another young player that the team would like to extend—but gave no guarantees that deals would get done.
