Jordan Moore’s name wasn’t among those selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, but the former Duke wide receiver quickly found an opportunity at the next level. On Saturday, Moore agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent, giving him a chance to begin his NFL career in one of the league’s most dynamic offenses.

Position Change Leads to Productive College Career

Originally recruited as a quarterback, Moore made the transition to wide receiver ahead of the 2022 season a decision that proved pivotal to his development. Over three years in his new role, Moore played in 49 games (35 starts), compiling 177 receptions for 2,352 yards and 21 touchdowns. He added 256 rushing yards and three scores on the ground, showcasing his versatility in Duke’s offense.

His performance placed him among the program’s all-time leaders: tied for fifth in touchdown receptions, seventh in total catches, and 10th in receiving yards. Moore is also one of only four players in Duke history to record three seasons with at least five receiving touchdowns.

2024 Season Highlights Potential

Moore’s final college season in 2024 was his most productive. He finished with career-highs in receiving yards (861), touchdowns (8), and yards per catch (15.7), despite missing time due to injury. He ranked among the top 10 in the ACC in several receiving categories and delivered some of Duke’s most decisive plays of the season.

That included a 39-yard touchdown catch as time expired to defeat Wake Forest, a play that secured the program’s eighth nine-win season and marked the first game-winning touchdown on the final snap in Duke history. Moore also made headlines with a one-handed grab against Miami, underscoring his ability to make contested catches in key moments.

Challenging for a Role in a Competitive Bengals Offense

In Cincinnati, Moore enters a competitive receiver room led by quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for a league-best 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns last season. The Bengals are looking to return to playoff contention after back-to-back postseason absences, following their Super Bowl run in the 2021 season and an AFC title game appearance in 2022.

Moore will likely face steep competition to earn a roster spot, but his track record suggests he is capable of adapting quickly and producing when given the opportunity. A former team captain and two-time All-ACC selection, Moore also brings leadership qualities that could resonate in an NFL locker room.

While undrafted, Moore's signing gives him a platform to prove himself once again—this time at the professional level.
