The trade for Geno Smith might not be the last quarterback addition the Las Vegas Raiders make this offseason. The team has done a lot of work on quarterbacks in the 2025 draft class, and general manager John Spytek recently admitted they're considering adding one.
With so many other needs on the roster, it's hard to see them using the No. 6 pick to draft a quarterback. The problem facing them is that there could be a run on quarterbacks early in the second round before they pick at No. 37.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, there's one quarterback who is hoping he can end up in Las Vegas.
"Las Vegas Raiders, I know, are on (Jalen) Milroe's radar because they have Geno Smith," Fowler said on "SportsCenter," via Bleacher Report.
The insider added that the Raiders "would be a team he would love to go to to slide behind Smith for a couple of years and learn."
If Milroe's hoping to go to the Raiders, he may have to hope that he slides down the draft board. Las Vegas isn't going to use the No. 6 pick on him. They could consider trading back into the first round to take him with a later pick, but that could be costly.
The Raiders would make a lot of sense for Milroe. He'd have two years before he realistically would have to be thrust into a starting job.
That might be what's best for him if he wants to have long-term success in the NFL.
