The Las Vegas Raiders took their third straight loss against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but the confidence surrounding Ashton Jeanty is at an all-time high.
After some struggles to find running lanes in the early going, Jeanty had the breakout game everyone was waiting for. Putting in a season-high workload, Jeanty recorded 21 carries for 138 yards and a touchdowns, as well as recording two receiving touchdowns on both of his receptions. He became the fourth Raiders rookie in franchise history (Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson, Raymond Chester) to score three touchdowns in a single game.
While the source of Jeanty’s breakout is to be determined, some observations pointed out that a major adjustment was made.
As Raiders inside Nick Walters made note of, Jeanty was spotted returning to the ‘Michael Myers’ stance that he made famous at Boise State.

The unconventional stance was a point of contention for the Raiders this offseason, as offensive coordinator Chip Kelly was reportedly trying to get Jeanty to adopt the more traditional bent-knee stance.
While Jeanty has not been to blame for his struggles over the first three games, it has been no secret that the Raiders have wanted to get him going. With Jeanty returning to his normal stance, that could have been an adjustment made by both the player and the coaching staff to help him out.
The results clearly speak for themselves, and the Raiders will be hard-pressed to push Jeanty out of his stance now.
