Just one day before the Philadelphia Eagles open up training camp, they made a roster move to add some much needed depth on the defensive line,

The former fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft, he has made 132 tackles, 38 quarterback hits, 31 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, four pass deflections, and four forced fumbles in 80 games. He also started 13 career games, with five of them coming last year for the Browns.
At 250 pounds, Okoronkwo feels a perfect fit to come off the edge. He has consistently proven to be a reliable pass rusher on passing downs over the years. While he hasn't made many starts, Okoronkwo has more experience than a lot of the edge rushers on the Eagles.
It still feels as though there will be some interesting decisions to make for the Eagles with their edge rushers. Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt look to be in line to start, with Azeez Ojulari and Josh Uche fitting in well as the second stringers.
If the Eagles go three deep on the depth chart at edge, Okoronkwo will find himself in a tough battle between Patrick Johnson and rookie Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. Johnson has prior experience as Eagles' defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's scheme, and Powell-Ryland was handpicked by the general manager Howie Roseman in the draft.
Okoronkwo is going to have quite the challenge trying to fit himself into the Eagles' roster and get playing time. He's hoping to be more than just a training camp body, but he has an uphill battle to win a job on the 53-man roster, already behind the eight ball.
