Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni emphatically quieted any hot seat talk last season by leading the team to another Super Bowl, and the coach has officially been rewarded for the success.
The Eagles announced on Monday that they have signed Sirianni to a multi-year contract extension. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie issued a statement praising Sirianni for the leadership and success that the 43-year-old has brought to the franchise.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” Lurie said. “Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership.
“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The Eagles have been overall outstanding through four seasons under Sirianni. They have made the playoffs each year and reached the Super Bowl twice. They dominated the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX last season.
Even after he led the Eagles to the Super Bowl two years ago, Sirianni was still the target of critics. The Eagles collapsed over the second half of 2023, and there were said to be some issues between Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Any problems that arose in 2023 were quickly resolved last year. With all of their key offensive pieces still in place, the Eagles are once again positioned to contend for a championship this upcoming season. Sirianni now has a new contract as he looks to build upon what he has already accomplished in Philly.
