Jalen Carter was forced to watch from the sideline as the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a second straight loss, dropping to 4-2 on the 2025 NFL season after falling to Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants 34-17 in Week 7. Now, the Eagles look to get back on track in Week 8 when they hit the road to face Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings.

Carter has been one of the Eagles’ top defenders since joining the team in 2023, helping Philadelphia defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. In four games this season, the former Georgia defensive tackle has recorded 10 tackles, one tackle for loss and one blocked kick. He missed the Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys after being ejected for spitting on Dak Prescott, and he also sat out the Week 6 loss with a heel injury.

Carter was a limited participant in practice last week because of his heel injury before missing the “Thursday Night Football” game. But as the Eagles began preparing for their matchup with the Vikings, the team announced that Carter returned to practice on Wednesday as a full participant. Jordan Davis (shoulder) and Zack Baun (finger) were also listed as full participants.

"Wednesday's Injury Report," the Eagles posted on X.

During Wednesday’s media availability, Carter was asked about the frustration of dealing with his injury and the team’s recent losing streak, mentioning he isn’t concerned.

"I ain't frustrated, I'm straight," Carter said. "I'm used to winning, from Georgia to high school and all that, but there's times you're going to lose in life, and you just got to take them Ls how you take them Ls. Everybody take them different... It happens, like I said, but I can move on."

Carter also expects to play against Minnesota, saying, "I’m going to play this week."

Carter and the Eagles will look to improve to 5-2 when they travel to Minneapolis to face the Vikings on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
