Eagles Announce Jalen Carter News on Friday

The Philadelphia Eagles are 8-5 this year after winning the Super just a season ago.

After starting 8-2, they have dropped their last three games, two of which came on the road.

The five losses have come to the Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers.

Much of Nick Sirianni's team's struggles have come on the offensive side of the ball.

It isn't just the play of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who had five turnovers against the Chargers, but the entire offense as a whole.

Kevin Patullo is in his first year as the team's offensive coordinator, and the Eagles rank in the bottom 10 in yards per game (309.4).

Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, star defensive tackle Jalen Carter has been dealing with shoulder injuries.

He missed the Chargers game and has since missed practice all week this week ahead of facing the Las Vegas Raiders.

On Friday, the Eagles ruled him out of Sunday's game.

Carter was selected ninth overall in 2023 after playing his college football at Georgia.

This season, the 2024 second-team All-Pro has recorded 20 solo tackles, two sacks, six passes defended and 3.5 stuffs.

Kickoff between the Eagles and the Raiders is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
