Nick Sirianni is looking to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a wild card round victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is expected to play a significant role for his team in the game. The three-time Pro Bowl wideout has been one of the most important players on the squad this season.
At one point in the first half, Sirianni and Brown had a heated argument on the sidelines. The broadcast captured the coach having words with his player after Brown failed to catch a pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts. Brown also had a few things to say to his coach.
The broadcast showed Sirianni running on the sideline toward Brown after the 28-year-old missed a routine catch on third down. It led to an intense confrontation between the coach and his player.
Brown wasn’t backing down, either. So much so that Eagles security officer Dom DiSandro had to step in to separate the two.

Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews caught up with Sirianni after the halftime break. The Eagles coach was quick to play down the incident.
“Emotions, they run high, especially in the playoffs,” Sirianni said, per Andrews. “Of course, after this game, we’ll go back to loving each other. But look, this is just the way it is. We’re just fine, thanks.”

Sirianni highlighted the magnitude of Sunday’s contest. According to the head coach, his sideline confrontation with Brown was nothing more than a heat-of-the-moment face-off.
As of writing, the 49ers are up, 17-16, early in the fourth quarter.
