Cooper DeJean had another big year for the Philadelphia Eagles this past season. The second-year defensive back was named to both the All-Pro first team and the Pro Bowl squad after helping lead the Eagles clinch the NFC East title with an 11-6 record.

In 16 games played in the regular season, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star registered two interceptions, 16 passes defended and one forced fumble. DeJean also logged 93 combined tackles (64 solo), four tackles for loss and one quarterback hit.

On Thursday, DeJean took to social media to react to a major development involving the Dallas Cowboys.

Much like the Eagles, the Cowboys have also already made changes in their coaching ranks. The Cowboys missed the NFL playoffs after finishing the season with a 7-9 record. Shortly after their final game of the season, Dallas fired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus after just one season with the team.

On Thursday, news broke that the Cowboys have found Eberflus’ replacement. Dallas is set to hire Eagles passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Christian Parker as their new DC.

DeJean has spent the first two seasons of his NFL career under Parker, and the Eagles star just had to react to the news.

“Mannnn. They got a great one wouldn’t be the player I am without Coach CP” DeJean posted on X.

Defense was a significant concern for the Cowboys this past season, with the team ranking last in the NFL in passing yards allowed (4,276) and 31st in passing touchdowns allowed (35).

The Eagles, on the other hand, ranked eighth in passing yards allowed (3,226). Their defense allowed the least amount of TDs in the air across the NFL with just 14 throughout the season.

Parker, 34, orchestrated an excellent secondary in Philadelphia during his two years with the team, with DeJean as the driving force. Parker now takes his talents to Dallas where he will look to significantly improve the team’s problematic defense heading into the new season.

The Eagles, on the other hand, will now need to fill the massive void Parker will leave as he joins Philadelphia’s biggest rival.
