Eagles GM Howie Roseman Took Subtle Shot At Chiefs

The Philadelphia Eagles undoubtedly are coming off an amazing 2024 season, winning their second Super Bowl in franchise history after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

Obviously, this now means that the Eagles hold bragging rights over Kansas City for the foreseeable future, and it's something that the team's general manager, Howie Roseman, has not forgotten.

In a video posted by Luke Arcaini of Crossing Board, a phone call between Roseman and Chiefs general manager Brett Veach reveals the two discussing a trade during the 2025 NFL Draft, to which he states "168, the last one [of the round], obviously."

Of course, Roseman's is refering to pick No. 168, which the Eagles only held because of their Super Bowl win over the Chiefs, which automatically gave them the final pick (excluding compensatory selections) in each round.

In the end, the two teams would end up facilitating a trade that didn't even include what was mentioned by Roseman in the video, as the Eagles acquired No. 31 in exchange for No. 32 and No. 164.

Philadelphia would end up turning their first round selection into linebacker Jihaad Campbell out of Alabama, while Kansas City selected Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons.

However, the Chiefs will be entering the 2025 season with a chance to get their revenge on the Eagles, as the teams are set to face off in Kansas City, with the NFL scheduled to be released on May 14.

Of course, there's also a chance they could once again meet in the Super Bowl, as ESPN BET gives Philadelphia the highest odds of winning the NFC (+300), while Kansas City has the third-best odds of winning the AFC (+350).
