The Philadelphia Eagles practiced on Tuesday with only two more days until their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys when they gave good updates on players dealing with injuries.

Left guard Landon Dickerson had a new update this week as he has now added his back as an injury after also dealing with a meniscus injury. He was back at practice and is in line to start against Dallas.

The other primary injury concern was safety Andrew Mukuba, who is back from his hamstring injury he suffered a few weeks back at the end of training camp. He was a full participant at practice as well. While Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was not 100% on whether he will start, it is looking good for him to play.

Other injury updates on Tuesday, including Jalen Carter (shoulder) and Josh Uche (groin) were full participants in practice One last injury that started the report will have fans more concerned about his availability.

Will Tanner McKee be able to play on Thursday?

McKee was listed on the injury report as a non-participant in practice as he is working through his fractured thumb. He has been out since the week of the New York Jets' preseason game.

While Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has stated that the Sam Howell trade had nothing to do with McKee's injury, it would seem from the outside that it was a contributing factor. Additionally, the struggles of rookie quarterback Kyle McCord likely played a significant role in that.

It looks like Howell could end up being the backup for Philly on Thursday, which leaves the question of the third-string job. Will the Eagles roll with McKee as the emergency third quarterback in the hopes that no injuries happen at quarterback, or will McCord get called up from the practice squad to fill that role?

At least the Eagles will have most of their starters, outside of linebacker Nakobe Dean, in the lineup against the Cowboys. They just have to hope Jalen Hurts and Howell stay healthy, or they might have a problem on their hands.
