Heading into the fifth week of the 2026 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles are already dealing with a plethora of injury issues to prominent players.
At least one injury to a key contributor doesn’t appear to be too serious, though, which is good news for Philadelphia.
According to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, Eagles edge rusher Jonathan Greenard avoided a major ankle injury after leaving during Philadelphia’s Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He’s currently considered day-to-day.

It remains to be seen if Greenard will be able to play in Philly’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, but the fact that the injury isn’t considered serious is promising.
Greenard missed the first two games of the season due to a pectoral injury. He made his Eagles debut against the Chicago Bears in Week 3. He’s recorded one tackle, one QB hit and one forced fumble in an Eagles jersey so far.
While the Eagles got good news on the Greenard front, they’re still waiting for injury updates on a plethora of other players. By the end of the game against the Rams, the Eagles were missing all of these players:
Saquon Barkley (hamstring), cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (knee), running back Tank Bigsby (hip), wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), linebacker Zack Baun (concussion), tight end Dallas Goedert (knee), safety Marcus Epps (groin), wide receiver Hollywood Brown (ankle), and offensive tackle Fred Johnson (knee).
How quickly some of these guys can get back onto the field will go a long way towards determining how the next few weeks will go for the Eagles.
