Eagles Land Potential Dallas Goedert Replacement in Latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disappointing season after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl the year before.

They ultimately fell to the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs due to the offense, which had been shaky all year, sputtering once again.

Now, the Eagles enter one of their most pivotal offseasons in recent memory, with tons of key pieces either hitting free agency or waiting in line for a hefty payday.

They just paid Jordan Davis record-setting money for a nose tackle, and now they are shifting their attention towards locking up Jalen Carter.

Potentially getting lost in the mix is tight end Dallas Goedert, who the team has been working hard to reach a deal with.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, it sounds like he has a good chance of being pried away by another team in free agency.

The team has far too many players eligible for extensions within the next 12 months and it just might leave Goedert as the odd man out. For this reason, Oregon Ducks tight end Kenyon Sadiq makes a lot of sense for the Eagles at pick No. 23 in this year’s draft.

Pro Football Focus writer Max Chadwick has the same idea, sending Sadiq to Philadelphia in his most recent NFL mock draft.

Sadiq is one of the most talented tight ends in recent memory, with offensive line-level blocking ability and tremendous receiving upside.

He was already receiving a ton of hype, and it all reached a fever pitch after his dominant combine performance. For a perennial contender like Philadelphia, the most efficient way to replenish talent is to acquire cheap labor through the draft.

If Sadiq ends up in the city of brotherly love and ever reaches his ceiling, then he could easily become more valuable than Goedert.
