Eagles Legend LeSean McCoy Threatens Boycott Amid Losing Streak

The Philadelphia Eagles may have broken franchise legend LeSean McCoy's spirit.

McCoy had an outstanding run with the Eagles from 2009-2014, rushing for 6,792 yards and 44 touchdowns. He was also a huge factor in the passing game, hauling in 300 passes for 2,282 yards. Although he was traded by the franchise in 2015, he was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2024.

"There's no fan in the world like an Eagles fan," McCoy said before his Eagles Hall of Fame induction. "Eagles fans are the most passionate, the most honest, the most caring, the most loyal fans you're going to get. No matter how bad or how good we played, they're going to let you know, but at the end of the day, they're going to have that green raised high and they're going to cheer you on."

Since retiring from the NFL in 2021, McCoy has truly turned into an Eagles fan. With that said, he's really frustrated by the team's three-game losing streak.

During the latest episode of the "Speakeasy" podcast, McCoy placed the majority of the blame for Philly's downfall on offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

McCoy applies pressure on the Eagles.

Despite his ties to the franchise, McCoy said he's willing to "leave" the Eagles if they retain Patullo for the 2026 season.

"If he’s back, I’m leaving the Eagles," McCoy said.

McCoy wasn't done sending a direct message to Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. He's willing to give up his No. 25 if Patullo returns.

"Take me off," McCoy continued. "Nobody has ever asked. I’m going to say, ‘Mr. Lurie, it’s either me or Kevin.’ If Kevin is not fired, put 25 back out there on the street. Let one of the rookies get it."

Patullo has received plenty of criticism for the job he's done this season. However, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni isn't willing to throw his offensive coordinator under the bus.

“You know, we’ll evaluate, obviously, everything. But like I said to you guys, when you win, when you lose, it’s never about one person. We all collectively have to do a better job. And that’s going to be starting with us as coaches, starting with me as a coach, finding solutions to getting the offense going,” Sirianni said after a Week 13 loss to the Chicago Bears. "So I’ll put that on us with the staff, and put that on me most individually to help get this thing going in the right direction."

Well, the Eagles are running out of time to get their offense back on track.
