Jalen Hurts turned in a strong performance on Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles finally put an end to their three-game losing streak. The Eagles dominated the Las Vegas Raiders in a 31-0 shutout to improve to 9-5 on the season.
Hurts was incredible in the win, registering 12-of-15 completed passes for 175 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. The reigning Super Bowl MVP also had seven carries for 39 rushing yards as he led the defending champions to a much-needed victory.
There was some cause for concern surrounding Hurts, however, after he appeared to have injured his left leg in the win against the Raiders.
Hurts looked like he was in some discomfort after a tackle from Raiders linebacker Devin White. The Eagles QB was slow to get up, but was able to play through the knock. Hurts was subbed out late in the game, but head coach Nick Sirianni said it was because of the lopsided scoreline, not an injury.
On Tuesday, Hurts himself told reporters that he’s fine. The two-time Pro Bowler did not seem to show any concern about the issue, stating that there have been no lingering effects from the hit.

In this light, the Eagles made a decision on their star quarterback ahead of Saturday’s matchup against the Washington Commanders. The team released their injury report from Tuesday’s practice, and Hurts was not listed on it.
It is worth noting that the Eagles did not practice on Tuesday. The report was an estimation, which means that Hurts would have been a full participant had there been an actual practice rather than a walkthrough.

Given this development, it does not seem like Hurts is in any danger of missing Saturday’s Week 16 matchup against the Commanders.
The same cannot be said for star running back Saquon Barkley, though. Barkley did not seem like he sustained an injury against the Raiders, but the three-time Pro Bowler was included in Tuesday's injury report.
Barkley was estimated as a non-participant, which could be a concerning development ahead of Saturday's game against Washington. At this point, Barkley's status for that one can be considered up in the air.
The Eagles will be on the road for Week 16. The Commanders will host the matchup at Northwest Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET.
