The Philadelphia Eagles are headed into the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs with a matchup against the Green Bay Packers on the horizon.
Just before the Eagles embark on the first round of the playoffs, they agreed to sign quarterback Ian Book, per Aaron Wilson.
The former fourth-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame has played one game in his NFL career.
He suited up for the New Orleans Saints in 2021 and recorded two interceptions with 135 passing yards, completing 60% of his pass attempts.
Book joins a quarterback room with Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett.

The Eagles' quarterback room has been plagued by injuries as of late. Hurts missed the final two games of the regular season due to a concussion and a left finger injury.
Pickett has been working through a rib injury he suffered a few weeks ago against the Washington Commanders.
Both quarterbacks had a "limited practice" on Wednesday. Their status for Thursday's team practice has yet to be revealed.
The Eagles enter a matchup against the Packers as a 4.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
While the signing of Book was likely seen as a precautionary measure, it's significant news for the Eagles, who head into the Wild Card with uncertainty at the quarterback position.
Book was previously waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, but Philadelphia made the necessary moves to get the former Fighting Irish quarterback on the practice squad ahead of the playoffs.
