During the meeting, Sirianni is expected to present a plan, including a list of potential offensive and defensive coordinators, to Lurie.
Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman have been working the phones and reaching out to available coaches since the Eagles' 2023 season came to a devastating end on Monday.
There's reason to believe that Lurie will move on from Sirianni if he doesn't approve of his plan for 2024 and that's because he did the same to Doug Pederson just three years ago.
Pederson led the Eagles for five seasons, compiling a record of 42-37-1 and a Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots in 2017. He was fired from the Eagles in January of 2021. Pederson's departure from the Birds had a lot to do with Carson Wentz's regression at quarterback and the fact that the Eagles finished that season with a 4-11-1 record and last in the NFC East.
Sirianni has carried the Eagles to an overall 34-17 record and a Super Bowl appearance in just three seasons, however the way that this year ended and how Jalen Hurts failed to progress, could be enough for Lurie to consider a new coach.
We'll see what Friday brings.
