Eagles' perfect offensive line built from best linemen in franchise history

A question that hasn't been discussed as often, that should be a fun debate for Philadelphia Eagles fans, is who would be on the best offensive line lineup all-time for the team.

Over the last two decades, there have been plenty of talented offensive linemen that was hit the field in the midnight green uniforms. Thanks to the coaching of offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, the Eagles have consistently had the best offensive line in the NFL.

The Eagles' social media team posted an interesting question as to who would be on the team's all-time offensive line lineup.

If there were a dream Eagles offensive line to put together, who would be on it? Let's go through what that perfect offensive line starting lineup would look like.

Left Tackle: Jason Peters

The 20-year warrior proved to be one of the best left tackles in NFL history with his play. Jason Peters started his career with the Buffalo Bills before embarking on a 12-year run with the Eagles. Peters made nine Pro Bowls and six All-Pro selections. He will no doubt be a first ballot Hall of Famer in a few years and is beloved by Philadelphia as he was part of the team's first Super Bowl win.

Left Guard: Evan Mathis

While Evan Mathis was not a long-tenured Eagle, having played for only four years, he made a lasting impact on the line. Mathis made two Pro Bowls and one All-Pro selection with the Eagles and was recently named Pro Football Focus's honorable mention for the All-PFF Team in the last 25 years. There have been plenty of other linemen who have played longer, but Mathis was dominant at left guard.

Center: Jason Kelce

What can be said about Jason Kelce that hasn't been said already? Kelce is a fan favorite after making seven Pro Bowls and six first-team All-Pro selections in his 13-year career. While he missed out on winning a second Super Bowl with the franchise last year, his impact on the team is still felt as he will also be a first ballot Hall of Famer when the time comes as one of the greatest centers in NFL history.

Right Guard: Brandon Brooks

Injuries derailed Brandon Brooks' career at the end, but he was still playing; he was incredible to watch. Brooks made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2017 to 2019. Unfortunately, he lasted 10 years, as his name would be brought up in the conversation for best right guard since 2000 if durability was not an issue. Eagles fans will remember his contributions to the first Super Bowl, as he was a perfect fit for the offensive line.

Right Tackle: Lane Johnson

A recurring theme with some of these linemen is the phrase "first ballot Hall of Famer." It holds for Lane Johnson, who has made six Pro Bowls and been selected to the All-Pro team five times in his 12-year career. At 35, Johnson still thinks he's about to hit the peak of his career, which is a scary thought as he's only getting better with age.
