Eagles' playoff picture continues to look brighter following clean win over Ravens

The Philadelphia Eagles are now 10-2 after picking up a 24-19 road win over the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Eagles' eighth straight win this season keeps them ranked first in the NFC East with 2.5 games ahead of the Washington Commanders and well into the playoff hunt.

Their chances to make the 2024 NFL playoffs are greater than 99%. The Eagles also have a 98% chance to win the division, a 26% chance for a first-round bye, and a 10% chance to make a Super Bowl appearance.

Beating the Ravens was the Eagles' toughest task remaining on their schedule and they were able to pull it off, thanks to another unstoppable night from running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley rushed for over 100 rushing yards for the eighth time this season and "MVP" chants roared across the stadium in light of him.

But while much of the attention was on Barkley, head coach Nick Sirianni made a point to highlight Jalen Hurts' quiet performance after the game.

“You’ll say ‘game manager,’ and that’s all b******,” Sirianni said. “Jalen played an awesome game. His stats won’t say we didn’t throw it a lot—he was 11 of 19, 118 yards. But he made runs when he needed to make runs. He made good checks. He managed the game in the four-minute. … Jalen Hurts deserves to be in the MVP consideration because of how clean of football he’s playing.”

The Eagles are very lucky to have two MVP-caliber players on their team, though neither Hurts nor Barkley is thinking about the award and only about the Birds' next win.

And after taking down the Ravens, the Eagles' schedule gets a lot easier from here:

Week 14 vs. Panthers
Week 15 vs. Steelers
Week 16 @ Commanders
Week 17 vs. Cowboys
Week 18 vs. Giants
