Change is life's only constant. While you didn't necessarily need football or the Philadelphia Eagles to teach you that, when that thought crossed our minds this morning, they were honestly the first thing we thought of. Here's what's funny. Even if the change is expected, it can still catch you off guard.
Just think about the past few weeks. We all knew Darius Slay, Milton Williams, and Josh Sweat would leave and find homes elsewhere. We knew Brandon Graham would retire, but look at us. All of this still seems weird, right?
So, yes... Change is constant, and our Birds are changing constantly. New guys have already been added via free agency, and the same will happen once we reach the NFL Draft.
If nothing changes, the Philadelphia Eagles will walk into Green Bay for the 2025 NFL Draft armed with eight picks. All of those picks are between Rounds 1-5. Each selection meeting is important, but the Birds want to nail this one as they have done the past few.
They've already been meeting with prospects. We'll list them here once their sit-downs with Philly have been confirmed. As usual, the Birds are looking for trench warriors. Most of their early visits were scheduled with a few.
Write these names on your imaginary draft boards and commit them to memory.
The Eagles love linemen who are versatile, and Marcus Mbow is all of that and then some. He started 18 games at right tackle and 14 games at right guard.
His best fit for the pro level is seemingly to move inside, but we'll see. He is currently projected to be a Day 2 pick, possibly in Round 3. His visit was announced via Instagram.
The scouting report states Josh Conerly only allowed two sacks during 28 starts at Oregon. He stonewalled the top defensive player in this draft, Abdul Carter, during a head-to-head matchup. He also went viral for being bulldozed by Marshall edge rusher Mike Green.
Talk about two opposite ends of the spectrum.
Oregon OT Josh Conerly Jr. has top 30 visits scheduled with Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles & Washington Commanders, per league source.
