Eagles pulled off another draft steal with their biggest offseason acquisition

The Philadelphia Eagles are once again atop the NFC East, holding a 6-2 record after eight weeks. With so many talented players returning from last season’s Super Bowl team, the Eagles have flexed their muscles and found ways to win games, even when it’s not pretty. Their success this season hasn’t just been because of returning players, though. Philadelphia has some talented newcomers who joined the party. One of those newcomers is rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell. The versatile defender was recently named Philadelphia’s best offseason addition in ESPN’s latest power rankings. For the Eagles, who were ranked No. 3, that really isn’t a surprise. The biggest surprise about Campbell remains the fact that he actually fell to the Eagles. Tim McManus praised Campbell for his versatility, highlighting how he has played as an off-ball linebacker and as an edge defender, thriving at both.
