The Philadelphia Eagles continue their activity with the roster as they look to solidify it before the Week 2 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Tuesday, the team announced that they were waiving defensive lineman Gabe Hall as well as releasing running back Montrell Johnson from the practice squad. The Eagles announced the signing of offensive lineman Jake Majors to the practice squad.

Hall had a nice preseason after being on the practice squad last year for the Eagles. He played in nine snaps for Philly in their 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles released Hall to make room on the roster for newly acquired running back Tank Bigsby.
Johnson has bounced back and forth between being released and signed onto the Eagles' practice squad after leading the team in rushing yards in the preseason. With Bigsby now on the active roster, the Eagles may not need him for the time being, but will most likely re-sign him soon.
Majors is the new addition to the roster after spending his first training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers waived him on an injury designation last month.
These are just the normal everyday moves the Eagles have to make to ensure they have room for Bigsby. The Eagles traded with the Jacksonville Jaguars to get Bigsby to help Philly with more depth at running back and kick returner, with the rib injury Will Shipley is dealing with.
Adding Majors could be in response to the team releasing Kenyon Green earlier in the week from the practice squad. Philly is adding more depth on the line with Landon Dickerson continuing to be banged up with his back and meniscus injuries; he's trying to get healthy from them.
With the Chiefs game slowly approaching, the Eagles need to ensure they have all the able bodies needed to fight through what should be a heavyweight fight in Arrowhead Stadium.
