Eagles should send Ravens this bold trade offer after they gave away Odafe Oweh

After an impressively awful 1-4 start to the season, the Baltimore Ravens appear to be open for business, which is music to Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's ears.

On Tuesday, the Ravens traded one of their top edge rushers, Odafe Oweh, and a Day 3 draft pick to the Los Angeles Chargers. Baltimore also got a Day 3 pick and safety Alohi Gilman as part of the deal.

The surprising part of the trade was that Oweh was in the final year of his contract and was considered one of their top pass rushers. They let him go for a relatively low price. With all the injuries, they are looking for help anywhere.

Roseman should be calling up the Ravens right now to see if they can strike a deal, but who could be a good option for the Eagles?

Jaire Alexander could end up an Eagle after all

Remember all that talk in the summer about the Eagles signing cornerback Jaire Alexander, but ended up a Raven? Maybe Philly could actually get him in a trade.

Alexander has played in just two games with the Ravens, racking up five tackles. In Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans, that was the first time Alexander had been on the field since Week 1 as he has been dealing with an injury.

It's clear that the Ravens have their issues, and the Eagles have their own in the secondary. Eagles fans are still not 100% convinced that Kelee Ringo or Adoree' Jackson is the answer at CB2, despite both playing better in the regular season. Philly is holding on to hope that Ringo will develop into that guy, but Alexander is just better right now.

Roseman could also offer Baltimore a Day 3 pick to acquire Alexander. The Eagles could even throw in an edge rusher, as Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said they are open to adding another pass rusher.

Why not Azeez Ojulari? He's coming off an excellent debut for the Eagles against the Broncos on Sunday. Once Philadelphia gets closer to the trade deadline, Nolan Smith Jr. should be close to coming back from his triceps injury. That could be a good addition for Baltimore.

Who knows what the Eagles could get in an Alexander deal, but it would be worth a call to at least have some real insurance at cornerback. Roseman should monitor how the Ravens perform because if they continue to lose, a fire sale could occur sooner rather than later.
