Eagles sign cornerback help among series of roster moves
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles made a series of roster moves on Tuesday.

The biggest move was the signing of seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones to the practice squad.

In addition to signing Jones, the Eagles brought back cornerback Josiah Scott to the active roster. The team waived cornerback Mario Goodrich in a corresponding move, according to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro.

Scott joins the Eagles after spending the first half of the season on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad where he didn't see any playing time.

Prior to heading to Pittsburgh, the former 2020 fourth-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars had spent the past two seasons in Philly, logging 38 tackles, two interceptions, eight passes defensed and a sack through 29 games (four starts).

He rejoins the Eagles during a time of need with several members of the team's secondary battling injuries , including cornerback Darius Slay, Bradley Roby and Eli Ricks.
