It may have been the players' day off for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but come tomorrow one player won't be showing up to work.
That's because Steelers practice squad DB Josiah Scott is being signed to the Eagles' active roster, per his agency JL Sports:
Congratulations to our client @JosiahScott7 on signing with the @Eagles active roster.

Scott never played a snap for the Steelers, coming over as a practice squad addition after being released by the Eagles at the end of training camp. Because he was only on the practice squad, any team was eligible to sign him and subsequently give him a promotion by joining their active roster.
Scott played for Philly in 2021 and 2022 after being drafted in the fourth round by of the 2020 NFL Draft by Jacksonville.
A solid depth piece, Scott was likely never going to be activated unless Pittsburgh took some serious injuries in the secondary, making a reunion in Philly best for all parties.
