Eagles sign former 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt to one-year deal

The Philadelphia Eagles and former San Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt agreed to a one-year deal on Friday.

Tartt, 30, started 14 games for the Niners last season, finishing with a career-high 66 tackles and a pass defense.

The 49ers drafted Tartt in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Samford. Tartt would go on to play seven seasons in San Francisco.

Tartt has had problems staying healthy, missing 31 games over his career. From 2015-21, Tartt played 80 games for the 49ers, starting 64 of them.

For his career, Tartt has recorded 367 tackles, four sacks, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles.

Tartt adds some much-needed depth to Philadelphia's secondary. The Eagles currently have veteran Anthony Harris and Marcus Epps on their depth chart at safety.
