Eagles sign former Giants Pro Bowl CB James Bradberry to one-year, $10 million deal

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles and former New York Giants cornerback James Bradberry have agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract.

The 28-year-old played in all 17 regular-season games last season for the Giants, starting 16. He recorded 47 tackles and four interceptions and was fourth in the NFL with 17 pass defenses.

Bradberry was released by the Giants on May 9 in a cost-cutting move to create $10.1 million in cap savings.

The six-year veteran was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2020 after posting 54 tackles, three interceptions, 18 pass defenses, and two forced fumbles.

A second-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2016, Bradberry played his first four seasons in Carolina before signing a three-year, $45 million free-agent contract with the Giants in 2020.

In six seasons with the Panthers and Giants, Bradberry has compiled 380 tackles, 15 interceptions, 82 pass defenses, four forced fumbles, and three interceptions in 92 career games.

The Eagles now have one of the more impressive cornerback duos in the NFL after adding Bradberry, who can now be paired alongside former all-pro cornerback Darius Slay. Slay made his fourth pro-bowl in 2021, recording 52 tackles, three interceptions, and three defensive touchdowns.
