In an offseason that was filled with turnover on the roster, the Philadelphia Eagles did not make the flashiest moves that will twist the NFL, but one new player could end up being a breakout star for 2025.

ESPN hosted a roundtable article featuring the network's NFC East beat reporters, who answered multiple questions about the division before training camp. One of those questions was regarding each team's underrated moves, with Eagles reporter Tim McManus saying Philadelphia's move was selecting defensive tackle Ty Robinson in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

"With minimal contact during OTA and minicamp practices, the offseason program isn't exactly conducive to properly evaluating linemen. But that hasn't stopped some of his new teammates from speaking highly of the Nebraska product. 'That boy is fire, I ain't going to lie,' DT Jalen Carter said. 'He's moving good. He's a big boy. ... I think he's going to have a big impact this season.'

Fellow D-lineman Jordan Davis added, 'It's like he's been here for years.' The Eagles need some interior players to step up after losing Milton Williams to the New England Patriots in free agency. Robinson, who finished with seven sacks, 13 tackles for loss and four passes defensed for the Cornhuskers last season, could very well factor into the rotation if he continues to impress this summer."

Robinson is in for a strong rookie debut season with the Eagles

At Nebraska, Robinson made the third-team All-Big Ten team in 2024 as he racked up 37 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 12 games. He also earned an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection in 2023 with the Cornhuskers.

Robinson has made quite the impression on fans and his teammates with a dominating performance at OTAs and minicamp. From destroying tackling dummies to getting compliments from Carter, Robinson could see significant playing time in 2025.

Carter, Davis, and Moro Ojomo are projected to be the starting defensive linemen for the Eagles. Robinson is most likely to be in the rotation on the line, with potentially Thomas Booker IV, Byron Young, and Gabe Hall fighting for playing time.

With all the buzz surrounding Robinson going into training camp, he should be a clear 53-man roster addition with playing time on his radar. He has a chance to be a star in the making for Philadelphia as he already fits what Eagles fans want from their players.
