Players are beginning to arrive for Super Bowl LIX, which will feature the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. One guy who drew attention upon arrival was Eagles star wide receiver DeVonta Smith, but it wasn't for a reason that will make Philadelphia fans happy.
Smith was part of the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl two years ago, when they fell to this same Chiefs squad in Super Bowl LVII. This time around, he's intent on coming out on top and providing a pair of Philadelphia players who are celebrating their birthday on Sunday (Saquon Barkley and Cooper DeJean) with an awesome gift.
"I plan on going out there and trying to win the game for those guys," Smith said when asked whether he had any plans for celebrating Barkley and DeJean's birthdays.
That much should not come as a surprise considering this game is for all the marbles. What did register as a surprise was Smith's outfit when he arrived at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, as he was supporting an all-red suit, with red of course being the Chiefs primary color.
"Dressed for the occasion," the Eagles said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, of Smith donned in this flashy suit ahead of the big game.

Despite missing four games, Smith set a career-high in touchdowns with eight this season, while also hauling in 68 receptions for 833 yards. If the Eagles intend on exacting revenge over the Chiefs, they are going to need a big game from Smith, as he's one of quarterback Jalen Hurts' favorite targets in the air.
While Smith's outfit will turn heads, chances are his suit being red rather than green was strictly a coincidence. Smith and the Eagles will look to cap off their season with a win on the biggest stage the game has to offer, with kickoff for the contest being set for 6:30 p.m. EST on Sunday night.
