Eagles Star Has Telling Comments On Jalen Hurts-A.J. Brown Drama

The Philadelphia Eagles are 11-2 and have won nine straight games, but there's one underlying issue surrounding the team right now.

Philadelphia survived against the 3-10 Carolina Panthers Sunday, winning 22-16 behind its defense and running game. Those have been the team's best weapons since its early bye week, but the Eagles' passing attack is still a work in progress. Jalen Hurts did throw for a pair of touchdowns in the win, but totaled only 108 yards passing.

After the game, star wide receiver A.J. Brown was direct, perhaps too direct, in describing the team's biggest issue.

"Passing," Brown said. "What we did today is not (good enough). It won't help us."

Franchise legend Brandon Graham is out for the rest of the year with a torn triceps, but the longtime Eagles pass rusher is still a respected leader.

On his radio show tonight, Graham addressed the Brown/Hurts drama, and his comments have raised eyebrows.

Graham was asked if Hurts would accept Brown coming to him directly to express his anger and frustration than blowing up on the sideline and talking to the media.

“It's more flip just being honest. The person that's complaining needs to be accountable. I'm just being honest, and he [Brown] knows this. I don't know the whole story but I know that 1 [Hurts] is trying and 11 [Brown] could be better with how he responds to things," Graham said. "They were friends before this. But things have changed, and I understand that, because life happens. But we have to make sure not to let the personal get in the way of the business and that's what we gotta do better right now."

The entire exchange can be found at the 8:15 mark of the show, with a partial video available below.

Brown's sideline flareups were a major topic of discussion during and after the 2023 season, so much so that the three-time Pro Bowler called into Philly sports talk radio in February to address what he felt was inaccurate reporting on the issue.

Right now, the Eagles aren't at that level of crisis with their quarterback and star wide receiver, but it's clear that they are going to want to do something to try and jumpstart their passing attack over the final four weeks of the regular season.

Philadelphia's defense and rushing attack can take it very far, but in order to win a Super Bowl, the perimeter passing game is going to have to have some big moments in January and February.
