The Philadelphia Eagles ran away with the victory in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs. In the process, a complete team effort won the game for the "City of Brotherly Love" in all three phases of the game: offense, defense and special teams.
Whether it was rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean returning an interception for a touchdown, kicker Jake Elliott converting 4-of-4 field goals while overcoming several penalties that pushed his attempts further back, or quarterback Jalen Hurts passing for 221 yards, two touchdowns while rushing for 72 yards and a score, it seemed every Eagles player had a hand in the team's decisive win.
Philly's second Super Bowl win in the past eight seasons was topped off by the Eagles setting a new NFL record for points scored during one postseason (145).

Philadelphia scored 22, 28, 55 and 40 against Green Bay, Los Angeles, Washington and Kansas City, respectively.
Jalen Hurts, who was namde Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, accounted for 10 touchdowns (five passing, five rushing), and Saquon Barkley, who broke former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis' record for most rushing yards in a season (including the playoffs), rushed for five touchdowns. Jake Elliott accounted for 43 points, converting 10-of-11 field goals and 13-of-16 extra points.
Despite the offense's success this postseason, Hurts praised the Eagles' defense after their Super Bowl win, via the Associated Press.
“Defense wins championships,” Hurts said. “We saw how they played today. We saw the difference they made in the game. They gave us opportunities, gave us short fields. And we’re able to do what we do.”
