The Philadelphia Eagles are taking advantage of the Denver Broncos' roster cuts.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Wednesday afternoon that the Eagles are signing running back Audric Estime to their practice squad after he didn't make the Broncos' 53-man roster.

Estime, a former Notre Dame star, entered the NFL as a rookie with the Broncos last season after being selected in the fifth round of the 2024 Draft. He appeared in 13 games, including one start, and recorded 310 rushing yards on 76 carries and two touchdowns.
Estime had put on a great training camp and preseason performance, but was stuck in the mix competing with a talented Denver running back room.
“Sometimes it’s a combination of things. I had a long visit with him today. His career is not by any chance over," Broncos head coach Sean Payton said. "That’s really not uncommon for a fifth-round selection. There’s also a credit to [RB Tyler] Badie’s experience, but also some of his versatility. Clearly, when you add, and have the ability to sign a [RB J.K. Dobbins] and draft a [RJ] Harvey, that room changed immediately and the competition changed immediately.”
Similar to Denver, the Eagles have an incredibly talented running back room starring Saquon Barkley, followed by Will Shipley and A.J. Dillon. So, I'm not sure where Estime fits other than having some extra quality depth at the position.
Before entering the league, Estime racked up a combined 2,261 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2022 and 2023. His junior and final year was his biggest as he rusher for 1,341 yards and 18 touchdowns, marking a Notre Dame football program record.
