Eagles TE Dallas Goedert breaks forearm, needs surgery
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is scheduled to undergo surgery on his fractured right forearm and could miss 4-6 weeks.

NFL Network reported Goedert would require the operation following an injury in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles didn't confirm surgery was necessary but said the 28-year-old would have an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

Goedert could be a candidate for injured reserve, although the Eagles are entering their bye week and next play on Monday, Nov. 20, at Kansas City.

Goedert was hurt late in the third quarter after a 28-yard reception. He was tackled awkwardly along the sideline by Dallas safety Markquese Bell, who latched on to Goedert's arm.

He is currently third on the Eagles (8-1) in receptions (38), receiving yards (410) and TD catches (two). He has been targeted 52 times in nine starts.

Goedert, 28, has three seasons with 50-plus catches and was on pace to set a new career high. He caught 58 passes in 2019.
