As the Philadelphia Eagles' long awaited an answer to the Green Bay Packers' wish to ban their infamous "tush push," the league finally delivered a decision as the proposal did not receive enough votes to pass.

As if the ruling couldn't have gone any better for the Eagles, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport pointed out the fact that the final vote also happened to reflect the score of last season's playoff victory over Green Bay.

Final vote for the resolution to ban the tush push: 22-10
Final score of the Eagles' victory over Green Bay in NFC Wild Card Round: 22-10

You cannot make this stuff up, folks.

Eagles can relish in the NFL handing the Packers legitimate insult to injury

The laughs are only beginning, too. Believe me, the Eagles' official social media accounts are exactly where fans want to keep it locked for the foreseeable future.

Some jokes just write themselves, and after a ruling like this, you better believe there are plenty more to come. But, Philly's immediate post to X was pretty iconic.

Green Bay not only gets to go home empty-handed in terms of a decision they had hoped to roll their way, but also with a painful reminder of exactly how last season ended.

The Eagles ended their season and went on to win the Super Bowl.

The tush push ruling was simply icing on the cake at this point.

Now, the reigning world champions will get added motivation in their quest for even more revenge over those who wanted to see the tush push banned.

Most notably, the Eagles get their chance to reiterate their dominance over Green Bay in Week 10. Moreover, the Buffalo Bills were another team who spoke out against the play, and Philadelphia gets their opportunity to put their foot down in Week 17 as they travel to take on Josh Allen and his squad.

It's only May, but the offseason, so far, already has us ready to stack more wins.
