The Eagles' rookie class remains consistent as the team's top two draft picks of the 2025 class continue to pave the way for a bright defensive future. In their Week 7 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings, the Eagles saw a major contribution from Jihaad Campbell and Andrew Mukuba, with lighter contributions from other members of the draft class.

Eagles' Week 7 Rookie Report Card

Jihaad Campbell, LB

Campbell continues to be the prime jewel of the 2025 Eagles draft class, grading out with an 82.6 rating per PFF. Campbell totaled three tackles on 60 defensive snaps, consistently causing havoc on the field that is beyond the stat sheet. With the addition of Brandon Graham off the EDGE, Campbell should revert to inside linebacker, a position he is more naturally accustomed to.

Grade: B

Andrew Mukuba, S

Mukuba registered his second interception of the season in addition to a pass breakup and three tackles. The Eagles' second-round pick (like Campbell) continues to push for Defensive Rookie of the Year consideration, as he's totaled two interceptions, 35 tackles, three pass breakups, and two tackles for loss through seven games this season.

While Mukuba looked decent on the stat sheet, he did miss Justin Jefferson on a tackle that sprung him for a significant gain, in addition to failing to read Jordan Mason, which led to a touchdown. While there is obviously some good, Mukuba still struggles with consistency at times. For what it's worth, Carson Wentz did have a 36.7 passer rating against the Texas product in week seven.

Grade: B

Smael Mondon Jr., LB

Mondon contributed 20 snaps on special teams and is still searching for his first shot on defense. Mondon is a late-round draft pick who has now carved out a role on special teams. He's totaled one tackle so far this season.

Grade: C

Ty Robinson, DT

Robinson has contributed a bit more on the defensive line, appearing on six snaps on defense and one on special teams. While Robinson hasn't fully integrated himself into the rotation, he's appearing to be carving out a role for himself in Vic Fangio's defense for the future.

Grade: C

2025 Philadelphia Eagles Rookie Draft Class Overall

Overall, the Week 7 play of the 2025 rookie class didn't wow, but was extremely solid. The Eagles are still searching for a third rookie to step up, as much of the class's success leans heavily on Mukuba and Campbell. The Eagles seem to be slowly working in Ty Robinson on the defensive line, with Smael Mondon Jr. shaping up to be a special teams ace for the franchise in the immediate future.

Overall Grade: B-
