A.J. Brown is on a roll. First, he broke the Eagles’ single-season receiving record for 1,496 yards. Then, his team clinched the division and the top seed in the NFC. Then, he went bowling.
Recently, a video surfaced showing Brown and his teammates at a local bowling alley. In it, Brown is challenged by Britain Covey to bowl a strike or give up his next game check. Brown doesn’t hesitate. He accepts the bet, mutters an expletive, and releases the ball.

With the ball only halfway down the alley, Brown turns around and shouts, “I don’t lose no game check!” He was right. The ball clears the pins seconds later sending the entire group into a frenzy. It’s great to see the wide receiver group having fun on the bye week, but we still have a few questions about the video.
First, did Covey put up his game check? If not, that hardly seems fair. If so, it still isn’t fair. According to Over the Cap, Covey made $705,000 this year. Not bad for a kick returner, but it’s nowhere near Brown’s number when you factor in his prorated $4,694,894 signing bonus.
Second, was Brown wearing sneakers? If not, those were some pretty nice rental shoes. Apparently when you're a world-class athlete, kicks don’t matter. Hopefully Brown keeps knocking them down in the divisional round of the playoffs.
