Eagles WR DeVonta Smith jumps in on latest viral meme amid injury

Philadelphia Eagles' star wide receiver DeVonta Smith was ruled out with a hamstring injury ahead of Week 12's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

While being sidelined can be very frustrating, Smith used the moment to crack a joke.

With the "chill guy" meme going viral on X/Twitter, Smith took to Instagram and posted the cartoon character rocking an Eagles shirt at the Linc and quoted the photo with, 'Just a chill guy waiting on the birds to play.'"

While many fans replied with laughing emojis, one fan wrote that he was "surprised" Smith is up to date with current memes considering how "locked in" he seems.

The Eagles' offense without Smith in the lineup is definitely a disadvantage since he is second on the team in receiving yards, behind only A.J. Brown, with 41 receptions for 516 yards. He also leads the receiving group in touchdowns with four.

With Smith out, the Eagles still have tight ends Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra, wide receiver Jahan Dotson, and dual-threat running back Saquon Barkley to fill that void in the passing game.
