Eagles' WR DeVonta Smith pops up on Week 16 injury report

The Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with a handful of injuries to key players ahead of their Week 16 matchup against the New York Giants.

Five starters did not participate in Thursday's practice, including wide receiver DeVonta Smith (knee).

Injury report observations:

  • Slay underwent surgery on his knee this week and will miss some time. 
  • Dickerson also underwent surgery on his thumb and is expected to miss Monday's matchup vs. the Giants. 
  • Smith suffered his knee injury on Monday night against Seattle. He watched practice from the sidelines. 
  • Morrow also watched from the sidelines, while Cunningham was not spotted at practice. 
  • The Eagles officially activated Avonte Maddox's 21-day practice window on Thursday. 
  • Starting right guard Cam Jurgens returned to practice as a full participant after missing Monday's matchup.
