Former LSU coach Ed Orgeron is unsurprisingly pulling for Joe Burrow in the Super Bowl. There is one factor, however, that has Orgeron a little bit worried.
Orgeron won a national championship with Burrow at LSU, and he thinks his former quarterback can repeat the feat for the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. Orgeron noted he’s always pulling for Burrow, but said things could go very poorly if the Bengals don’t contain Rams defensive linemen Aaron Donald and Von Miller.
“I’ll never pull against Joe.”

“I go to bed thinking, ‘How we gonna block 99 and 40? I’m still trying to figure it out,” Orgeron told NFL Network. “I’m not coaching anymore. That’s for them to figure out.”
Bengals coach Zac Taylor is probably having the exact same problem. If Burrow can’t stay on his feet, he won’t be able to make the plays the Bengals will need him to make in order to beat the Rams.
Still, Burrow will appreciate Orgeron’s level of belief. The Cincinnati quarterback has been a firm supporter of his former coach, even when things wound up going against Orgeron at LSU. That level of support clearly goes both ways.
