Eddy Pineiro went nuts with his reaction after making winning kick for 49ers

Eddy Pineiro helped the San Francisco 49ers improve to 3-0 with a game-winning kick on Sunday, and it would be an understatement to say the veteran was pumped up about his contribution.

Pineiro drilled a 35-yard field goal as time expired to lift the 49ers’ to a 16-15 Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Backup quarterback Mac Jones, who made his second consecutive start in place of the injured Brock Purdy, put the Niners and Pineiro in position for the win.

After his kick split the uprights, Pineiro went crazy celebrating as his teammates swarmed him.

You can see another angle:

Pineiro signed with the 49ers ahead of Week 2 after the team cut Jake Moody, who struggled in the first game of the year. Pineiro, who was previously with the Carolina Panthers, has made all five of his field goal attempts in two games with San Francisco. He is 3/4 on extra points.

Pineiro suggested he chose signing with the Niners over one other team, and so far it appears he made the right choice.
