The Arizona Cardinals have seen a handful of legends play for their organization, with names such as Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald being just a couple of popular names that have graced the field here in the desert.

Another prestigious player in Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith also made a pit stop here in the later portion of his time in the league, playing here for two seasons in 2003-04 after spending over a decade with the Dallas Cowboys.

Smith entered Canton as a Cowboy - and rightfully so. He won three Super Bowls with the organization (with one MVP) amid a list of accolades that stretches over a mile long.

However, he's still fond of his time with Arizona, tweeting on the 20th anniversary of him inking a deal with the organization:

In 25 games for the Cardinals, Smith rushed for 1,193 yards (3.3 YPC) and found the end zone 11 times for Arizona in his late thirties. He was able to wear his famous No. 22 through the entire duration of his career, and surely still has some worn at games today in the Valley.

Through the last 365 days, the Cardinals have seen their organization in plenty of unfavorable headlines - so it's nice to see some positive light shed by a former player, especially one in the likes of Smith.
