The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will be playing for the Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET. Kansas City enters Super Bowl LIX as a 1.5-point favorite over the Eagles, per  ESPN BET

In a recent interview with Forbes' DJ Siddiqi, NFL legend Emmitt Smith revealed his prediction for the game.

Smith believes the Chiefs will win Super Bowl LIX over Philadelphia, given their experience. They're entering their fifth Super Bowl in the last six years.

"I would lean towards the Chiefs – No. 1, because of the level of experience that they actually have in the Super Bowl," Smith said. "They plan for something greater than just the Super Bowl itself. They plan for their mark on history to do something different than no other team in history has ever done. They just know how to win in tight situations, they've been built to play in tight situations. Some teams, some teams are just not built that way."

The Chiefs stand at 17-2 on the season, counting the playoffs where they have defeated the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills

Kansas City is attempting to make NFL history with a win in New Orleans. If the Chiefs were to come out victorious in Super Bowl LIX, they would be the first franchise in the Super Bowl era to win three straight titles.

They entered the season having won the Super Bowl following the 2022 and 2023 seasons, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In the Chiefs' latest matchup against the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, Mahomes passed for 245 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
