One NFL star Andrews and Thompson have talked to and know very well is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last year, the two jokingly said they were responsible for getting Kelce and Taylor Swift together.
“Yeah, well, obviously we’ve covered him and we’re friends with him,” Andrews said, per the New York Post. “And how could you not be? The guy’s a time, right? I’ve seen you guys on a golf course and everything. He’s a time.
“He had mentioned on his podcast that he went to the show, wanted to meet her afterwards, didn’t get the chance to. So we just started talking about it on our podcast saying, ‘Taylor, do this for America. Date him.’ I mean, the guy, he’s not ugly by any means.”
Andrews and Thompson are all about the Kelce-Swift relationship. And because of that, they called out fans who booed Swift during the Super Bowl earlier this year.
“I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f***ing gets booed at the Super Bowl,” Andrews said on the podcast in February (per PEOPLE). “Get out of here!”
Thompson added, “I love the fandom. Eagles are proud fans. They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team.” And when talking about how Kelce and Swift handle pressure, Thompson said, “She handles everything so well. And so does Travis. He handles this so well.”
