Fox Sports lead NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews is showing love for one of the NFL's most recognizable former coaches.
Jason Garrett spent nine seasons leading the Dallas Cowboys from 2010 to 2019. He compiled an 85-67 regular-season record, won three division titles and earned the 2016 AP Coach of the Year award.
After stepping away from coaching, Garrett joined NBC Sports in 2022 as a studio analyst on "Football Night in America." Garrett found a new way to stay connected to the game.
Andrews, his colleague in the sports media world, made sure to acknowledge Garrett's newest venture away from football.
Garrett and restaurateur Julian Barsotti teamed up with former Cowboys quarterback Babe Laufenberg to open Caffe Lucca at 4445 Travis Street in Dallas's Knox Park neighborhood.
According to a Dallas Sites 01 Instagram post, the restaurant is a total passion project for Garrett. The former Cowboys bench boss has traveled to Italy more than a dozen times. He wanted to bring that exact "long dinner" energy back home to Dallas.
The restaurant is named after Laufenberg's late son, Luke, who passed away in 2019. The opening cocktail party drew congratulatory support from across the football world. Andrews also threw her support behind the venture via Instagram Stories.
"Congrats on the grand opening @jasongarrett1717 @caffeluccadallas," she captioned her post, sharing a video of the new restaurant's opening.
Garrett interviewed for the Tennessee Titans head coaching vacancy in January 2026. The job ultimately went to Robert Saleh.
Still, the 60-year-old has kept himself busy. Caffe Lucca figures to become one of Dallas's hottest new dining destinations.
Andrews has long been known for her warmth and genuine connections across the league and media landscape. It is fitting to see two respected figures from rival networks celebrate each other's wins.
